| AWS Classification | Applications |
| ERNiCr-3 | High-Temp & Dissimilar Welding: Used for welding Inconel 600/601 and Incoloy 800/800H. Common in power plant boiler components, high-temp petrochemical reactors, and for joining nickel alloys to stainless or carbon steels. Also used in Cryogenic (ultra-low temp) equipment. |
| ERNiCrFe-7 | Nuclear Power & Oxidizing Acids: Specifically designed for welding steam generator tubing in nuclear power plants. Excellent performance in chemical equipment handling nitric acid and other strong oxidizing acids; superior resistance to intergranular and stress-corrosion cracking. |
| ERNiCrMo-3 | Marine & Chemical: Widely used for offshore platforms, seawater piping systems, and oil & gas production equipment. Also used in chemical processing for components resisting oxidation and reducing acids. Aerospace: Aircraft engine exhaust systems and fuel nozzles. |
| ERCuNi | Seawater Piping Systems: Used for welding 70/30 (UNS C71580) copper-nickel alloys. Mainly applied in desalination facilities, condensers, and heat exchanger tubing. Also found in seawater cooling and fire-fighting systems on ships. |
| ERNiCu-7 | Marine Engineering & Pickling: Primarily used for welding Monel 400 series alloys. Common in marine pumps, valves, and propeller shafts. Used in the chemical industry for handling sulfuric and hydrofluoric acids, as well as in pickling plants and salt production facilities. |
| ERNi-1 | Strong Alkali & Electronics: Used for welding Nickel 200/201. Frequently used in caustic soda (alkali) production equipment and food processing machinery. Also widely used in electronic vacuum components, battery connectors, and communication equipment parts. |
| ERNiCrMo-4 | Severe Corrosion: Chemical processing equipment (e.g., chlorination systems, herbicide production), Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems, and pulp/paper industry. Specialized for environments with high chloride ions and alternating oxidizing/reducing media. |

Depends on process:
MIG → Spool (15kg/spool)
TIG → Straight (1m/stick, 5kg/box)
SAW → Coil (like MIG)
No strict expiry, but storage is critical. Lasts long if kept dry/sealed. Moisture causes rust and weld defects.
Based on welding current (thicker wire needs higher amps), material thickness, and welding position (thinner wire better for all-position).
Possibly. Ensure wire is dry and clean, and check shielding gas flow/purity.
