What is 4J32 Soft Magnetic Alloy Wire?

Soft Magnetic Precision Wire

4J32 is a classic low-expansion alloy (Super Invar) with a face-centered cubic structure. It offers stable performance validated in aerospace and precision industries. Its composition (approximately 31.5-33% Ni, 3.2-4.2% Co, balance Fe with minor Cu/Mn) delivers a very low linear expansion coefficient, typically α (20–100°C) ≤ 1.0×10⁻⁶/°C, combined with soft magnetic characteristics.

This precision alloy combines an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion—significantly lower than standard Invar in key temperature ranges—with good magnetic permeability. It is supplied as high-quality wire suitable for manufacturing critical components in high-temp instruments, sensors, and sealing applications.

Available in wire form with customizable diameters, it maintains excellent plasticity, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties (tensile strength 440-590 MPa in annealed condition). It performs reliably in environments requiring minimal thermal drift and magnetic efficiency.
