Product Description
CoCrMo is a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum master alloy supplied in bar or ingot form for dental laboratories, dental alloy distributors and precision casting manufacturers.
The alloy combines strength, rigidity, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and polishing performance. It can be remelted to manufacture removable partial denture frameworks, clasps, crowns, bridges and selected implant-supported prosthetic structures.
Wholesale supply options include custom bar dimensions, controlled chemistry, heat-number identification, private-label packaging and batch-specific inspection documents.

Chromium supports the formation of a passive oxide layer that helps the finished dental alloy resist corrosion in the oral environment.
The cobalt-rich matrix provides mechanical strength for removable and fixed dental prosthetic structures.
The cobalt-base microstructure provides hardness and wear resistance for selected dental components exposed to repeated mechanical contact.
Dental CoCrMo castings can be ground and polished to achieve a smooth surface when suitable tools and finishing procedures are used.
Applications
CoCrMo may be used to manufacture selected femoral components, stems and other hip-system parts requiring strength, corrosion resistance and polished surfaces.
Knee femoral components are a common application where wear resistance, surface finish and dimensional accuracy are important.
Selected tibial baseplates and related structural components may use cast CoCrMo when supported by the device design and qualification program.
The alloy may be used for selected humeral and shoulder-system components requiring strength and wear-resistant surfaces.
DLX Advantage
CHANGZHOU DLX ALLOY CO, LTD was established in 2002 and has got ISO9001 International Quality Management System Certificate and SGS Certificate. DLX Alloy supplies cobalt-based casting alloys for medical component manufacturers and precision investment foundries.
Our CoCrMo supply program can be configured around customer-defined chemistry, charge size, product form, inspection, packaging and traceability requirements.
FAQ
It is alloy feedstock supplied in bar or ingot form for remelting. It is not a finished dental restoration or a bar intended for direct placement in the mouth.
It offers high strength, rigidity, corrosion resistance and the ability to form relatively thin framework sections.
Yes, selected dental CoCrMo compositions can be used for crown and bridge substructures when their mechanical and processing properties meet the restoration requirements.
It may be suitable when the alloy’s thermal expansion, oxide formation and firing behavior are compatible with the selected dental ceramic. Compatibility must be validated before production.
It may be used for selected implant-supported prosthetic frameworks or suprastructures. Suitability for a component placed directly in bone or tissue requires separate device-specific evaluation.
