Nickel-based casting superalloy

Product Description
K213 is an equiaxed Fe-Ni-Cr casting superalloy developed for industrial components requiring a combination of high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and casting capability.
The iron-nickel-chromium matrix is strengthened by γ′ precipitates formed primarily through aluminum and titanium additions. Tungsten provides solid-solution strengthening, while controlled boron supports grain-boundary performance.
Compared with nickel-base casting alloys containing more than 70% nickel, K213 contains approximately 34–38% nickel, with iron as the balance. This chemistry can provide a more economical material system for suitable applications below its qualified temperature limit. Actual cost advantages depend on metal prices, order size, yield and processing requirements.
K213 is particularly associated with turbocharger turbine wheels because these parts combine high rotational speed, complex blade geometry, exhaust-gas exposure and demanding dimensional requirements.

Rapid Fulfillment Strategy: Keep in stock for 7-20 day dispatch to worldwide industrial centers.
Optimal Iron-Nickel Matrix: Provides superior cost-to-performance ratio for mass-produced industrial turbine components.
Vacuum-Grade Purity: VIM processing ensures gas content O ≤ 20ppm, reducing porosity and inclusions in final industrial castings.
Excellent Oxidation Resistance: Maintains structural integrity and surface stability in hot gas environments up to 750°C.
High Ductility at Temperature: With elongation ≥12%, K213 offers better thermal shock resistance compared to brittle nickel-only alloys.
Applications
Aluminum and titanium form γ′ precipitates within the Fe-Ni-Cr matrix, helping the finished casting retain mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.
A controlled tungsten addition strengthens the alloy matrix and contributes to creep and load-bearing performance.
Boron contributes to grain-boundary behavior, but its content must be controlled because it can also influence solidification and grain-boundary constituent formation.
K213 is designed to provide useful time-dependent deformation resistance in qualified industrial applications operating below approximately 750°C.
Chromium and aluminum support oxidation resistance, making the alloy suitable for components exposed to hot exhaust gas and repeated thermal cycles.
DLX Advantage
CHANGZHOU DLX ALLOY CO, LTD was established in 2002 and has got ISO9001 International Quality Management System Certificate and SGS Certificate. DLX Alloy manufactures and supplies casting master alloys for industrial investment foundries and high-temperature component producers.

FAQ
K213 is a precipitation-hardened Fe-Ni-Cr equiaxed casting superalloy. It contains approximately 34–38% nickel and is strengthened by γ′ precipitates, tungsten and controlled grain-boundary additions.
K213 is best described as an iron-nickel-chromium-based casting superalloy. Iron is the balance element, while nickel remains a major constituent at approximately 34–38%.
It is remelted by foundries to produce turbocharger turbine wheels, turbine blades, impellers and other heat-resistant industrial castings.
