Nickel-based casting superalloy

Product Description
K418 is commonly cross-referenced to IN-713C or Alloy 713C. It is an equiaxed nickel-based casting superalloy designed for components exposed to elevated temperature, sustained mechanical loading and repeated thermal cycles.
The alloy is strengthened primarily by γ′ precipitates formed through aluminum, titanium and niobium additions. Molybdenum provides solid-solution strengthening, chromium supports oxidation resistance, and controlled carbon, boron and zirconium contribute to carbide and grain-boundary performance.
K418 / 713C master alloy bars are remelting feedstock rather than wrought structural bars. They are intended to be charged into a qualified vacuum melting and investment-casting process.
K418 and IN-713C are widely treated as corresponding grades, but their chemistry and certification requirements may differ. Final compliance should be determined by the customer’s specification and heat-specific chemical analysis.

Bespoke Chemistry Control: We offer OEM customization of Al, Ti, and Nb ratios to optimize the γ' phase precipitation for your specific cooling rates.
VIM Vacuum-Grade Purity: Ultra-low inclusion levels (O < 15ppm) ensure defect-free thin-walled castings in aerospace and energy sectors.
Aerospace-Grade Surface Finish: Bright-machined or centerless-ground surfaces prevent furnace contamination during vacuum remelting.
Total Traceability Infrastructure: Every OEM bar is engraved with a unique heat number, linked to a digital record of raw material origin and melt parameters.
High Yield Solidification: Optimized ingot geometry reduces atmospheric exposure and improves melting efficiency in secondary furnaces.
Applications
K418 is widely used as casting feedstock for automotive and industrial turbocharger turbine wheels requiring high-temperature strength and thermal-cycle durability.
Conventionally cast turbine rotor blades can use IN-713C-type chemistry where creep strength, oxidation resistance and casting performance satisfy the component specification.
Stationary guide vanes and related hot-gas-path parts can be produced through qualified vacuum investment-casting processes.
The alloy supports precision casting of components in which turbine blades and wheel geometry are produced as an integrated structure.
K418 may be used for aerospace castings when the master heat, production route, testing, traceability and foundry process meet the applicable qualification requirements.
