Product Description

Inconel Alloy 625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a controlled addition of niobium. Strength is achieved through solid-solution hardening by molybdenum and niobium, eliminating the need for age hardening.
ASTM B446 covers both Grade 1 (annealed) and Grade 2 (solution annealed) conditions, delivering reliable performance from cryogenic temperatures up to approximately 980 °C (1800 °F). The alloy exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, making it a preferred choice for seawater, sour gas, and aggressive chemical service.

Outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments
High tensile and yield strength without precipitation hardening (solid-solution strengthened)
Excellent weldability with no requirement for post-weld heat treatment in most applications
Superior oxidation and corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing media
Stable mechanical properties from cryogenic to elevated temperatures
Good fabricability – easily machined, formed, and welded
Compliant with ASTM B446, ASME SB-446, AMS 5666, and related international standards
Available in annealed (Grade 1) and solution-annealed (Grade 2) conditions
