Product Description
Inconel 718 round bar, a premier nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, is engineered to withstand severely corrosive environments, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
This high-performance Inconel 718 round bar exhibits exceptional yield, tensile, and creep-rupture properties at high temperatures, making it ideal for use from cryogenic conditions up to long-term service at 1200°F.
The unique addition of niobium in Inconel 718 round bar enables age hardening, allowing annealing and welding without spontaneous hardening during heating and cooling, while niobium and molybdenum enhance the alloy’s matrix for superior strength without requiring a strengthening heat treatment.
Unlike other nickel-chromium alloys hardened with aluminum and titanium, Inconel 718 round bar is readily fabricated and can be welded in both annealed and precipitation-hardened conditions, serving critical applications in aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering, pollution-control equipment, and nuclear reactors.
